The Town of Southbury, Connecticut is seeking sealed bids for furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment required for milling and paving of Chestnut Tree Hill Road. It is the intent of the Town to enter into a contractual agreement with one qualified Contractor to provide services. Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid as provided in the Information for Bidders. A certified check will not be accepted in lieu of a Bid Bond. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by the required bid bond. The Contractor chosen for the project shall be required to furnish 100% Performance and Labor and Material bonds and proof of required insurance coverage. A Maintenance Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract sum shall be required after completion of the work and prior to final payment. Requests for Information (RFIs) concerning the project should be emailed to Matthew Tarnowski, Public Works Project Administrator, at MTarnowski@southbury-ct.gov. RFIs should be received by May 23, 2025. If necessary, an addendum containing RFI responses will be posted to the Town of Southbury's website at the link above by May 27, 2025. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within one hundred twenty (120) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total bid and to waive any informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Southbury.
