Site work for a civil project in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The City of Pittsburgh Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, is soliciting construction bid estimates for the replacement and rehabilitation of the stone masonry retaining wall supporting Serpentine Drive in Schenley Park. A soldier pile lagging wall is to replace the collapsed portion of the existing wall. Construction to include salvaging, resetting, and facing elements with natural stone. Stormwater system improvements along roadway are included with this project as well. Project is located within a City historic Park, natural finishes and aesthetic with surrounding area are goals of this reconstruction project. Existing portion of wall collapsed in 2019, wall and cap stones are still present on hillside. Existing roadway usage has been restricted to pedestrian and bike use only. Special events and City Department of Public Works - Parks access will need to be maintained at times during construction.
