Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Downey, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be performed under this Contract generally consists of pavement rehabilitation and installation of bicycle lanes along 6 corridors in the City of Downey. This project includes type II slurry seal, cold milling of asphalt pavement (full width and edge), construction of asphalt rubber hot mix (ARHM) overlay. Work also includes the construction of new curb and gutter, removal and reconstruction of uplifted, damaged or substandard curb, gutter, cross gutters and spandrels, sidewalk, driveway approaches and curb ramps; adjustments of manhole and utility valve covers to the new grade, replacement of traffic striping, pavement markings, and loop detectors; traffic control and all appurtenant work thereto necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvements, in accordance to Plans and Specification entitled Capital Improvement Project No. 23-03.
