DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work involves the removal and construction of AC roadway overlay, AC roadway, PCC curb & gutter replacement, ADA ramp, PCC rolled curb, PCC sidewalk, PCC driveway entrance; ADA parking stall improvement; storm drain improvement; roadway and City Hall parking signing and striping; traffic signal improvement; solar power street light improvement; furnishing and installing bus shelter; furnishing and installing landscape and irrigation system as indicated on the plans. SITE OF WORK: The site of the work is located at various locations in the City of Ridgecrest. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work must be completed within one-hundred eighty (180) working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: Liquidated damages of One Thousand Five Hundred dollars($1500.00) per working day, as specified in the Special Conditions, shall be paid by the contractor to the City of Ridgecrest for each working day in excess of the time limit stated above that the project is not complete. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price payable to the City of Ridgecrest as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract.
