Reference Number 0000376370 Job Location: Thunder Ridge Middle School 5250 S Picadilly St, Aurora, CO 80015 The District is seeking qualified Electrical Prime firms for this project. The project consists of demolition of the existing natural gas fired kiln with two (2) electric kilns with associated kiln fans and control interface. (The existing kiln will be removed, and the new kilns installed by CCSD's kiln contractor.) The existing kiln hood to be removed along with the kiln room ceiling and associated HVAC and electrical/fire alarm components. The existing natural gas piping to be removed back to the tee near the lower level mechanical room in the crawl space below the kiln room. Floor penetration to be patched. The existing kiln hood exhaust fan will be reused for the new kiln hood. Existing electrical components associated with the removed kiln will be removed or reused. A new lay-in ceiling will be required around the new kiln hood and reused/new HVAC and electrical/fire alarm components installed. The existing kiln hood exhaust duct to be connected to the new kiln hood. Kiln fans discharge to be ducted to exterior via roof penetrations. A new wall mounted luminaire to be installed behind the new kilns. New stepdown transformer and panelboard will be required to support the load of the new kilns. The stepdown transformer will be CCSD supplied, contractor installed. New building automation controls, fire alarm interface, and electrical will be incorporated to meet CCSD standards per a diagram on the drawings.
