Construction of approximately 24 acres of soil closure cap at the Gaston County Construction and Demolition (C&D) landfill including surface preparation, placement of 18-IN compacted soil subbase (maximum hydraulic conductivity of 1E-5 CM/SEC), 6-IN topsoil layer, seeding, stormwater controls and roadway construction. Soils for construction must be obtained from off-site borrow sources. Gaston County encourages the participation of minority and women/historically underutilized business enterprises.
