Site work for a mixed-use development in Pahoa, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Contractor shall excavate down to the 90 elbow of the existing fire department connection and 4" pvc waterline below ground level. Contractor shall ensure that the 4" pvc waterline connecting to the 90 is not damaged. The Contractor shall remove any damaged 4"pvc waterline and replace, if necessary. If the removal and replacement of the concrete pavement is necessary to replace any damaged 4" pvc waterline the contractor shall also replace the concrete pavement per detail 4/C-3. This additional work will be paid under the "Allowance for Additional Work. The Contractor shall remove and replace the 4" hot dip galvanized (HDG) schedule 40 metal pipe, bronze 2-way ball valve, and 4" x 2-1/2" Siamese wye fire department connection, refer to detail 1/C-3. The Contractor shall remove and replace the existing 4" concrete filled bollard and signpost, per details 2/C-3 and. The Contractor shall visit the site and verify all existing conditions prior to submitting a bid for this project. Pahoa Transfer Station is open dailyfrom 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 7 days a week. The Contractor may visit the site at anytime during the normal operational days and hours. 3.
