**As of March 26th, 2025, the project was awarded to Seiler Bros Construction Inc., with an awarded amount of $139,567.50.** for Remove & Replace Existing Sidewalks, according to plans and specifications on file at the Department of Public Infrastructure. A bid bond or Surety 2000 in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each proposal as a guaranty. The right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality is reserved by the City. INTENT AND SCOPE OF WORK It is the intent of the City of Manitowoc to have the Contractor furnish all necessary materials, labor, equipment and all incidental items necessary for the removal and replacement of existing concrete sidewalks that are deemed defective (Green Dot) at various locations within the City. The abutting Property Owners have the option to replace the defective sections of sidewalks privately before the start of sidewalk work under this Contract. Therefore, the starting date shall not be prior to July 7, 2025. There is a map showing the area of the remove and replace sidewalk district at the end of these Special Provisions and Conditions. The 2025 sidewalk district area is bounded by South 14 th St., South 21 st St., Madison St. and Green St. All work shall be performed according to the plans and specifications, and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. The City of Manitowoc reserves the right to delete any portion of this Contract. WORK SCHEDULE SEQUENCE The Contractor shall perform the sidewalk construction work in the following sequence. 1) Remove and Replace Sidewalk District. 2) City-Wide Complaints. COMPLETION DATE The Contractor shall not be permitted to start construction prior to July 7, 2025. The City of Manitowoc will send the "Notice to Proceed" to the Contractor just prior to the anticipated starting date. All work included in Contract shall be completed on or before September 19, 2025. Failure to meet the Completion Date listed above may result in the assessment of Liquidated Damages and Inspection Fees for Late Work. The time limit for filing the executed Contract and Performance Bond is Fourteen (14) Days from the time the Bidder is notified in writing from the City that they are the successful bidder.
