Site work and renovation of a civil project in Boulder, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following major items: (1) Construction of existing public water supply (PWS) Well 2 chemical system and building addition, (2) Well 2 seal repairs (3) construction of Well 4 wellhouse, piping, chemical systems, and appurtenances, (4) SCADA software and hardware upgrades at all wells and the existing storage tanks (5) piping and instrumentation modifications at Well 1. CONTRACTOR(s) and any of the CONTRACTOR's subcontractors bidding on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Boulder, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Construction Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. WBE (6.9%) A. The Contractor shall, except as otherwise specifically stated in applicable parts of these Contract Documents, provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, facilities, and services necessary for proper execution, testing, and completion of the work. B. This project will provide the Owner with new and upgraded water supply facilities and generally consists of the following major items of work: 1. Existing Well 2 a. Site preparation and select building demolition at existing Wellhouse 2. b. Construction of a building addition including concrete foundation, wood framing, exterior and interior finishes, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, process piping, and chemical feed and storage equipment installation. c. Installation of siding and roofing on existing and new building to achieve a uniform finish across both structures. d. Piping and electrical modifications in the existing wellhouse. e. Installation of a new door in the existing wellhouse door penetration, removal of existing windows, and finishing window penetrations to match surrounding areas. f. Installation of yard piping including tie-in to existing water distribution system. g. Replacement of Well 2 pump packing (see Section 01 14 16 Coordination and Site Conditions) 2. New Well 4 a. Construction of a new wellhouse including concrete foundation, wood framing, exterior and interior finishes, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, process piping, and chemical feed and storage equipment installation. b. Installation of pump and associated equipment. c. Installation of yard piping including tie-in to existing water distribution system. 3. Replace instrumentation and existing RTU at Well 1, complete. 4. SCADA Upgrades to all well houses and existing water storage tanks. 5. Other miscellaneous work as shown on the Drawings.
