The City of Denton Parks and Recreaton Department is seeking proposals for a permanent public art installation to be installed at the site of the new Fire Station #5 at 2230 W. Windsor Drive, Denton, TX 76207. Artists' proposals should include designs for an iconic, place-making art project that showcases Denton's commitment to being in the vanguard of municipal public art. Windsor Drive in Northwest Denton on the parcel of land identified by Property ID: 957877 at the Denton County Cental Appraisal District. Potential locations for art are near the Eastern and Southern faces of the building that front N. Bonnie Brae Street and W. Windsor Drive The City of Denton (the City) is requesting submissions to contract with an individual or business with considerable experience in providing goods or services of this solicitation. The responses shall be submitted to the City of Denton in a sealed submission. The awarded individual or business shall possess a proven track record of using innovative approaches to providing goods and services that represent the best value to their clients. The awarded individual or business shall have the ability to accomplish all aspects of the requested services. The selected individual or firm should be able to provide innovative methods to deal with municipal challenges, and cost effective solutions. A firm may submit a solicitation response for one or more of the categories of product or services requested in this solicitation. PROJECT BUDGET The City of Denton will entertain proposals that cost between $100,000 and $200,000. This allocation must support all costs for designing, creating, and installing the artwork, including but not limited to materials, engineering, research, fabrication, site installation modifications, and artists fees. The City will work with the artist on preparing the site to accept the artwork, and any additional considerations - e.g. for integrated lighting - may be negotiated between the City and the artist as part of the final contract negotiations. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
