The project is expected to be awarded on Aril 15,2025.** General Work Description: The Suisun-Solano Water Authority (SSWA) Cement Hill Water Treatment Plant (CHWTP) New Site Entrance Project is located at the CHWTP at 1200 Manuel Campos Parkway in Fairfield, CA, and includes, but is not limited to, the following: grading and paving of the CHWTP access road and pond berm, installation of drainage and sewer utilities, and installation of a new physical access security system. The Suisun-Solano Water Authority (SSWA) Cement Hill Water Treatment Plant (CHWTP) New Site Entrance Project is located at the CHWTP at 1200 Manuel Campos Parkway in Fairfield, CA, and includes, but is not limited to, the following: grading and paving of the CHWTP access road and pond berm, installation of drainage and sewer utilities, and installation of a new physical access security system. The engineer's estimate is $1,300,000. Question Deadline 03/06/2025 at 4:00 PM PT Bid Guaranty and Bonding Requirements are as follows: (a) a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid price must be submitted with bid proposal, (b) the successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of total bid price. The Contractor shall perform with his/her own organization, work of a value amounting to not less than fifty (50) percent of the remainder obtained by subtracting from the total original value the sum of any items that may be designated as "Specialty Items" in the Special Provisions. Pursuant to the California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989, Assembly Bill, at least 50% of the waste generated from this construction project, as measured by weight, shall be recycled. Whomever is responsible for collecting and transporting waste stored and/or transported in containers, as defined in Chapter 9 of the Fairfield Municipal Code (section 9.030 "Defined Terms and Phrases"), shall become authorized to do so by entering into a Collection Agreement approved by the City of Fairfield. The collectors and/or haulers of all other waste generated by this project shall not require authorization, but the recycling requirements will still apply and will be monitored for compliance by the City. California Air Resources Board 2022 Amendments to the In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets Regulation, requires the prime contractor to obtain copies of valid Certificate of Reported Compliance for the fleets and subcontractors. All public works projects are subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 (with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)). Furthermore, no contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Proof of compliance with insurance requirements (including certificates of insurance and additional insured endorsements) shall be provided by the successful contractor. Coverage shall be for the following amounts: (a) Commercial General Liability - $3,000,000 each occurrence, $6,000,000 each aggregate, (b) Automobile Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence, and (c) Worker's Compensation/Employer's Liability - $1,000,000 each occurrence. Bids received after the time and date specified in the Notice to Contractors shall be rejected as invalid.
