Canady Creative Arts Center - Elevator Modernization Modernization of hydraulic elevators at the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center located at 1436 Evansdale Drive, Morgantown, WV. West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (BOG) located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Proposals (RFP) from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors to modernize four hydraulic elevators at the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center located at 1436 Evansdale Drive, Morgantown, WV. Cutoff for Questions DATE: 3/3/2025 TIME: 12:00pm EST Site Visit will be for field measurements only; PLEASE SEND ALL QUESTIONS TO THE Q&A BOARD. - In the event the Due Date changes, it will be posted via addendums on the Q&A Board; the date will not change on this description. Communications 1. The bid/proposal process is highly controlled. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Bid/Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. Completion Dates 1. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated below. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion. a. Substantial Completion shall be: April 30, 2026 b. Final Completion shall be: June 30, 2026 c. Final Completion shall be when project site is de-mobilized and all project documents listed in Close-Out section of the specifications has been sent to the Owner. Liquidated Damages 1. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. a. Liquidated Damages shall be One Thousand Dollars ($1000) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
