The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a bid response for concrete culverts. The County intends to use the results of this process to award a contract(s) or issuance of purchase order for the product(s) and or services(s) stated above. Vendor Question Submission Deadline:March 5, 2025, 4:00pm Question Response Deadline:March 7, 2025, 4:00pm Direct all inquiries to: Hazel Schuster Purchasing Officer 210 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Madison, WI 53703 Email: schuster.hazel@countyofdane.com Phone: (608) 896-3861 The contract shall be effective on the date indicated on the Dane County purchase order or the Dane County contract execution date and shall run for one year from that date. You are invited to submit a bid to furnish concrete culverts on an as needed basis to the Dane County Highway and Transportation Department for the 2025 calendar year. Dane County reserves the right to determine at any time for any project to let a bid for that project. Failure to submit a bid may prevent Dane County Highway and Transportation Department from acquiring your product(s). Thus, if you are interested in doing business with the Dane County Highway and Transportation Department in 2025, we strongly encourage you to submit a bid. From January 1st to April 18th, 2025 and from September 29th to December 31st, 2025 Dane County normal hours of operation are M-F 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During the summer months not included above Dane County Highway is closed on Fridays and normal work hours are M-Th. 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Dane County Highway and Transportation Department reserves the right to award this bid on a per-item basis or on total net bid, whichever is deemed most advantageous to Dane County. Each item will be considered independent of any other item. The Dane County Highway and Transportation Department will attempt to utilize the lowest bid when obtaining product, however the Department reserves the right to obtain product from the most advantageous vendor/location. In making this determination, the Department will consider availability of product and proximity of vendor to project to minimize hauling costs and/or assure that the product quality is not compromised by excessive travel time (i.e. redi mix). Dane County invites and will accept bids for item(s) outlined within this bid. The County as represented by Purchasing Division, intends to use the results of this process to purchase goods or services here within. County reserves the right to terminate any Agreement due to non-appropriation of funds or failure of performance by the vendor. This paragraph shall not relieve County of its responsibility to pay for services or goods provided or furnished to County prior to the effective date of termination. Dane County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any technicality in any bid submitted and to accept any part of a bid as deemed to be in the best interests of the County. Submission of a proposal or a bid constitutes the making of an offer to contract and gives the County an option valid for 60 days after the date of submission to the County.
