The work of this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: In general, the work will include furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the rehabilitation of the Glenbourne Pump Station. The improvement work for the aforementioned pump station rehabilitation will include the demolition and abandonment of portions of the existing pump station and utilizing the existing 5' diameter wetwell to install new duplex submersible grinder pumps and an above-ground control station. Additional improvements include the installation of 60 LF of new 4" Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) force main, connections to existing force main and sanitary sewer manholes, one (1) 3' diameter by-pass manhole, one (1) 4" diameter wet tap and valve, one (1) 4" diameter insertion valve, one (1) precast sanitary sewer manhole, 115 LF of 8" diameter PVC gravity sewer main, abandonment of gravity sewer and force main, flowable fill, general site restoration, by-pass pumping, and all other associated work required to complete this work as shown on that drawings and specified herein. Each Bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the full amount of each Contract Bid, not to exceed $20,000. Surety shall be made payable to: Township of Boonton, and shall be without condition or qualification. All Bidders shall be required to comply with Chapter 127, P.L. 1975, c. 127, requiring each Bidder and each Subcontractor to formulate and submit to the proper authorized representative of the State of New Jersey an Affirmative Action Program of equal opportunity which guarantees minorities employment in all categories. Bids are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. All bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq. and the N.J.S.A. 34:1B-5.1, Chapter 150 Laws of 1963. If the Bidder is a Corporation or a Partnership, the Bidder, in conformance with Chapter 33, P.L. 1977, shall submit with his Bid, a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all stockholders who own a 10 percent or greater interest in the firm. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all Bids, if it is in the public interest to do so. Question Deadline 03/21/2025 No oral interpretation shall be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of any of the Contract Documents or be effective to modify any of the provisions of the Contract Documents. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer and shall be postmarked at least ten (10) calendar days before the established date for Bid opening. The Engineer will arrange an addenda, which shall become part of the contract, all pertinent questions received and his decision regarding each. Prior to the opening of the Bids, a copy of these addenda will be sent to each of those who have obtained a set of the Contract Documents from the Engineer.
