Renovation of a military facility in Sumter, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Project Title: Repair ADA Compliant Doors Project Location: Shaw AFB, SC Provide all planning, labor, equipment and materials and perform all operation necessary to replace 2 exterior doors at building 1904 Please See Statement of Work for requirements details. IAW FAR 36.204 (a) the Construction Magnitude for this project is less than $25,000. IAW FAR 19.505(c) This requirement is set aside 100% for WOSB concerns SF 1413, Statement and Acknowledgment. Provide all planning, labor, equipment and materials and perform all operation necessary to replace 2 exterior doors at building 1904 as listed below and shown on attached drawings. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following: For front door only: o Move light switch over to accommodate new door opening. Utilize existing wires. On both doors: o Saw cut and install new pre-finished 3'0"x 6'8" metal door with metal welded frame. o Install standard door hardware along with: o panic bar, heavy duty door closer, door stop, doorknob with lock and "Best" core. o Install metal threshold. o Finish wall and door frame both sides to match current/existing conditions. o Relocate fire extinguisher. GENERAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION NOTES: Any references to State Government, Federal Government, or Industry standards or specifications made herein shall form a part of thisspecification to the extent referenced thereto and all materials and workmanship under this contract shall comply with or exceed these standards and references. All referenced standards shall be the latest edition. Where specific part numbers or manufactures are referenced, it shall be understood that the contractor may use an approved equal. All manufactured equipment and products shall be new materials in good condition and installed as per manufacturer's latest printed instructions, unless specified otherwise herein. The Contractor is responsible for protection of existing facilities equipment from damage during installation and testing operations. Contractor shall take into account the special treatment of hazardous waste, as well as the environmental implications related to building demolition management (i.e. fluorescent lighting tubes, t-stats, etc.). Every effortshall be made to recycle eligible materials, and those not suitable, shall be disposed of off base in accordance with all (SCDHEC) South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control regulations. Ensure that any demolition, utility cut and capping, and debris removal service performed at Shaw AFB, South Carolina in completed in such a manner that will restore a neat and professional appearance of base areas. The facility/area shall be cleaned in its entirety, including exterior areas, before being returned the government. The SF 1413 is used by all executive agencies, including the Department of Defense, to obtain a statement from contractors that the proper clauses have been included in subcontracts. The form is used by the prime contractor to identify and report all applicable subcontracts (all tiers) awarded under the prime contract, identify specific scopes of work the subcontractors will be performing, subcontract award date, and subcontract number, and provide formal notification to the applicable subcontractors of the labor laws and associated clauses they are responsible for complying with. Please cite OMB Control No. 9000-0014, Statement and Acknowledgment (SF 1413). The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 120 calendar days
