Reference Number 0000287506 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/03/07 02:00:00 PM EST The Ottawa Hospital is seeking Quotations for the provision of Line Painting and Exterior Signage Installations and Maintenance Services and the related Scope of Work described in Appendix A. as listed in this RFQ for a period of three (3) years plus an optional extension of up to 24 months. The work intended to be carried out under the subsequent Agreement shall include supplying of all labour, equipment and materials necessary for all existing pavement marking. The scope shall include but is not limited to the application of all stop bars and tails, yellow centre lines, directional arrows, crosswalk lines, parking stalls, loading zones, hatching, handicap stalls, curb top painting, speed limit lettering on asphalt, helicopter pad painting as required by the Purchaser and its partners for the duration of the contract. The OHSC site contains ten (10) parking lots, Riverside campus contains three (3) and Civic campus contains eleven (11) parking lots that will require line painting. The number of available parking lots may vary throughout the duration of the services. Additional parking lots maybe added or existing ones maybe removed as needed at the sole discretion of the Purchaser. The Purchaser chooses each spring what lots will be painted. Line painting of parking lots is normally done immediately after the parking lots have been swept and flushed during spring cleaning on a weekend. All parking lot lines must be chalked at the end in order to have all parking lot line ends in a straight line. As part of the work, the Proponent shall supply pavement marking and symbols conforming to the applicable materials, shapes and sizes as outlined in the appropriate Ontario Provincial Standards (OPS) and with respective Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM). The helicopter pad shall be painted according to the latest requirement from Transport Canada Canadian Aviation Regulations Standard 325-Heliports., supplied by the Purchaser's Representative. The full scope and quantity of work shall be determined by the Purchaser's Representative. It is intended that pavement markings at all locations shall be applied two times per year. The first application shall be done in the spring of each year as directed by the Purchaser's Representative. The second application as directed by the Purchaser's Representative. In addition to the general pavement marking, the Proponent shall be required to layout, pre-mark and paint, any such properties as may be constructed, reconstructed and resurfaced during the calendar year in which the contract is in force at the same price as initial bid. The Proponent may have to layout and paint lines and/or symbols after new asphalt is applied. The Proponent shall do this work according to Pricing Schedule. All materials necessary to complete the Agreement including all paint, reflective glass beads, etc.is the responsibility of the Proponent. The Purchaser's Representative has the right to reject any material that is of inferior quality and would in any way contribute to an end product below acceptable standard.
