The Springfield City School District Board of Education is accepting proposals to replace the gym floor in the Districts main high school gymnasium. Interested companies may request an RFP from Mike Dellapina, at dellapinamr@scsdoh.org The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to: Removal and Disposal of the existing gym floor, including any underlayment, adhesives, or debris. Preparation of the Subfloor to ensure it is level, clean, and free of any contaminants. Installation of New Flooring, please price both a grade 1 and 2 maple floor including all materials (e.g., wood, synthetic, or resilient flooring options), finishes, and markings for gym activities (basketball, volleyball, etc.). Surface Finishing, including sanding, sealing, and painting as necessary. Flooring Materials: The new floor must be durable, safe, and compliant with industry standards for high school athletic floors. Preference will be given to sustainable, environmentally friendly materials. Warranty: The contractor must provide a minimum 1 - year warranty that covers Defects in workmanship, such as improper installation, poor finishes, or structural issues arising from the work performed. A representative will assess the problem and work with the district to resolve it promptly. Should the claim be valid under the terms of this warranty, we will repair or replace the work at no cost to you.A response from the contractor will be within the first 24 hours for all repair calls. Timeline: The project must be completed by July 2025 A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for February 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
