All questions are to be directed to the Construction Manager. No direct contact with the Owner or Architect is requested. All questions must be in writing and submitted via Building Connected, no later than February 27, 2025, at 12:00pm Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond made payable to Brinker-Christman, a Joint Venture in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid as a bid security. Electronic copies of Bid Bonds must be submitted in Building Connected with completed Trade Contract Proposal Form. If bidders do not wish to furnish a bid bond, bid security may also be submitted in the form of certified check, cashiers' check, or money order to the Construction Manager at the address listed above, prior to the deadline for proposals. The Bid Security of Bidders under consideration will be returned immediately after award of contracts. The amount of the guarantee shall be forfeited to Brinker-Christman, a Joint Venture if the successful Bidder fails to enter into a contract and furnish required bonds and insurance within 30 days after award of contracts. All proposals submitted shall remain valid for a period of one-hundred twenty (120) days after the bid date. Brinker-Christman, a Joint Venture and Detroit Public Schools Community District reserve the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all proposals, or accept any proposal, which, in their opinion, will serve their best interest. Bidders are required to abide by the prevailing wage rates for State funded projects as detailed in Attachment G.
