Reference Number 0000376891 Due to a 52-inch Water Transmission Main break in Southwest Detroit that occurred Monday morning , the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) has committed to assisting the affected residents by providing emergency services. These services include removing debris, caused by this flooding, and cleaning and sanitizing affected basements, crawl spaces, or utility rooms. DWSD's goal is to immediately contract with multiple firms of qualified janitorial and flood restoration vendors to go into the homes as assigned by DWSD and perform the necessary tasks to remediate the flood damage. We seek professional and proficient companies who will meet and exceed the expectations of DWSD & our customers. On an as-needed and assigned basis, the vendors will need to be able to assemble their teams and commit to working for DWSD.
