Replacement of Water Softener and Water Heater Shawnee County is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of water softener and tankless water heater at Maner Conference Center kitchen. Pricing shall be for complete working installation and 1 year warrantee. Water Softener: 1. Isolate, drain and remove existing water softener, properly disposing of. 2. Provide and install new North Star PA1015S or prior approved equal commercial water softener. Water softener will need to be installed with the ability to add a duplex softener if the demand increases in the future. 3. Connect existing water lines making modifications as needed. 4. Reconnect to existing electrical making modifications as needed. 5. The price is to include all materials, parts, labor standard shipping, hoisting, electrical and complete system start-up as recommended by manufacturer. 6. All work to be performed during normal business hours. 7. Project is Sales Tax exempt. 8. Any additional services beyond this scope will be based on time and materials upon owner approval to proceed. Tankless Water Heater: 1. Isolate and drain existing water heater. 2. Disconnect water, gas and vent piping from existing 80 gal, tank style water heater. Remove and properly dispose, cap vent stack. 3. Provide and install two (2) new Navien 199,000 BTU tankless condensing, gas water heaters or prior approved equal commercial water heaters. Additionally, heaters are equipped with an internal recirculation pump and buffer tank. These new heaters will be relocated north of the existing tank location. 4. Service valve kits for both heaters to allow for de-scaling maintenance. 5. Provide material to install PVC intake and exhaust piping. Terminate on the roof. 6. Connect to existing water and gas lines making changes as needed for relocation. 7. The price is to include all materials, parts, labor standard shipping, hoisting, electrical and complete system start-up as recommended by manufacturer. 8. All work to be performed during normal business hours. 9. Project is Sales Tax exempt. 10.
