Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. The bid bonds must be payable to the City of Inver Grove Heights in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages if the bid is accepted, and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter a written contract and furnish the required bond. The City of Inver Grove Heights reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to award the bid in the best interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days. The Council will consider such bids in the Council Chambers at 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025. SCOPE OF WORK This Project includes bituminous mill and overlay, full-depth reclamation, full reconstruction, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk replacement, storm sewer system replacements and improvements, sanitary sewer system replacements and improvements, water system replacements and improvements, erosion control, bituminous paving, turf establishment, and adjustment of castings and gate valve boxes. The Work to be carried out under these General Requirements includes furnishing all labor, material, tools, and equipment necessary for the construction of the proposed improvements, complete in place as described in the Plans and Specifications herein. Minor appurtenances not specifically listed as bid items, but which are necessary to complete the project in a satisfactory manner, as shown in the Plans, will be considered incidental. The City reserves the right to add or remove quantities based on field conditions during construction. This will not result in contract unit price adjustments. An allowance has been included for Landscape Contingency. Payment shall be based on invoices submitted and approved for work completed to salvage and reinstall landscape structures and landscaping.
