Site work for a mixed-use development in Kelowna, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

.1 Project A – KLO / Okanagan College Transit Exchange Expansion Expansion of the bus bay and passenger platform, additional amenities along KLO Road, traffic modifications at the College’s main entrance, relocation of a pedestrian crosswalk, and traffic signal upgrades at Campus West Road, including a cycle pathway extension. .2 Project B - Shepherd Road Transit Exchange Upgrades Expansion of the bus bay, construction of a transit operator washroom and additional amenities, reconfiguration and expansion of the parking lot for improved accessibility and drop-off areas, and preparation for future installation of EV charging stations. The Work can be briefly summarized as follows: .1 Project A – KLO / Okanagan College Transit Exchange Expansion In partnership with BC Transit and Okanagan College, the City plans to expand and improve operations at the Okanagan College transit exchange. The work includes: a) Expanding the existing bus bay and passenger platform. b) Adding additional amenities along the north side of KLO Road. c) Traffic operation modifications within the College campus main entrance. d) Adjustments of an existing pedestrian crosswalk. e) Traffic signal modifications at Campus West Road along with the extension of the Cycle pathway from this intersection to the Transit exchange. f) Landscaping and irrigation works. g) Lighting and Electrical improvements. Schedule: Construction should be scheduled during the summer break (May 5 –August 29), with Substantial Performance achieved before August 29, 2025 to minimize disruptions during the academic year. Access to West Campus Road and the transit loop must remain open for school and transit operations however the Transit stops will be temporarily relocated to accommodate construction. Transit loop must remain open during construction. Project B - Shepherd Road Transit Exchange Upgrades In partnership with BC Transit, the City is upgrading the Shepherd Road transit exchange in Rutland. The work includes: a) Expanding the existing bus bay and sidewalks. b) Supply and installation of a prefabricated transit operator washroom and additional amenities. c) Reconfiguring and expanding the existing parking lot to improve accessibility and drop off areas. d) Landscaping and irrigation works. e) Electrical and street lighting improvements. Schedule: Substantial Performance is to be achieved no later October 31, 2025. Although the overall project has schedule flexibility, The Transit washroom is desired to be installed as soon as possible.
