Site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Kelowna, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 2,257-square-foot, one-story above grade day care center; for site work for a day care center; and 1,080-square-foot, one-story above grade transportation facility.

The City seeks Construction Management Services for two expansions at the Kelowna International Airport. The selected Submitter will provide Pre-Construction and Construction Management (CM) services to support the design, engineering, and construction of the Kelowna International Airport (YLW) Childcare Facility and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). The proposed expansions will encompass all site and building and facility needs associated with the expansion of these existing operational facilities. YLW Childcare Facility is a new building which began operation in the Fall of 2023. Due to significant demand for additional childcare spaces, the facility has applied for grant funding to support the expansion of the building to support 24 additional childcare spots. The expansion will include site work, playground areas and building addition. The project involves the expansion of an existing 158 m² CBSA space within Kelowna’s International YLW Airport. The existing CBSA space will be expanded to include an additional 100 m² consisting of X-Ray, Pre-inspection, Post-inspection, and a CBSA Secondary Waiting area. The construction budget for the project is $2,750,000, including all CM Fees and tendered sub trade costs. A. Childcare Facility $2,000,000, and B. CBSA Secondary Expansion $750,000.
