Owens Family Park Improvements: New Parking Lot and Street Project NIB #PK2003 The City of Safford (City), Arizona hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids from properly licensed contractors for the project Owens Family Park Improvements: New Parking Lot and Street located off the intersection of El Paso Boulevard, 20th Street, and 14th Avenue (Lat. 32 49 01 N, Long. 109 43 33 W). The Project includes material purchases to complete installation of 3,363 square feet of new sidewalk (replacing 425 square feet of existing sidewalk and curb needing removal), 585 linear feet of 6 vertical curb and gutter, 271 linear feet of single curb, 1,868 square yards of 12 AB, 1,161 square yards of 4 AC pavement, 6,364 square feet of 4 concrete, and ancillary sidewalk and street features. The Project is expected to take between 3-4 months, but no more than 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated date of Council approval of the Contract is April 14, 2025, and the City wishes for the awarded Contractor to begin work that same week. All Bids must include a bid bond for 10% of the Total Bid amount, The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to withhold the award for any reason the City determines. The space prepared for this project will be accomplished by City of Safford and will consist of the rough grading as designed. The Work shall consist of fine grading and installation of a paved roadway with curb, gutter, sidewalk and ramps as well as a concrete parking lot with driveways, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and ramps per the plans as designed with any tools and labor required to complete the project. Time is of the essence for this project. The City plans to obtain Council approval for this Contract Monday, April 14, 2025, and wishes for the Successful Bidder to begin work that same week
