The City of Safford (City), Arizona Hereby Invites the Submission of Sealed Bids From Properly Licensed Contractors for the Project 14th Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation: From Relation Street to El Paso Boulevard Located Within the City Limits of Safford. Existing Pavement Thickness of 14th Avenue is Approximately 4 and Will Require Mill and Replacement of the Top 2 of Pavement. Existing Valves, Manholes and Survey Monuments in the Paving Area Must Be Adjusted to Final Grade. Following Mill and Overlay Application, the Street Must Be Striped. The Work is Expected to Be Substantially Complete in 30 Days, and Ready for Final Payment in 45 Days From the Issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Anticipated Date of Council Approval of the Contract is April 28, 2025, and the City Wishes for the Awarded Contractor to Begin Work That Same Week or Shortly Thereafter. All Bids Must Include a Bid Bond for 10% of the Total Bid Amount. The City Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, or to Withhold the Award for Any Reason the City Determines. The City Also Reserves Its Right to Hold Any or All Bids for Sixty (60) Days After the Bid Opening Date and Will Not Allow Withdrawal of Bids During Those Sixty (60) Days.
