Richland County is seeking to hire a certified licensed Contractor for abatement, commercial building demolition, and debris removal services at the Antique Mall located at 2956 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29210 No Pre-Bid Conference Data Found Question Deadline 03/14/2025 at 5:00 PM ET DEMOLITION SCOPE OF WORK o Abate all ACM and lead in accordance with the Scope of Work listed in the attached F&ME Asbestos Abatement Project Design. Project number: E7229.001. During the execution of this abatement plan. The awarded contractor is responsible for the abatement and demolition of the facility only, Richland County will select the Contractor to conduct all required air monitoring, for this service. o Coordinate with the utility company for service disconnection. o Demolish the entire one-story structure, garages, and foundations (including attics, basements, decks, porches, concrete stairwells, handrails, sidewalks, and fencing), parking lot, utility pipes and lines (above and below ground), vaults, steps, wells, tanks, fences, guide rail posts, and sidewalks within lot lines. Exclude sidewalks for pedestrian traffic along roadways, streets, and alleys. o Remove all debris, including sheds, outhouses, and junk vehicles. Remove concrete footings, foundations, slabs, and basements (burying debris is prohibited). o Remove all shrubbery, trees, and bushes within 15 feet of the structure (mature trees to remain). o Disconnect and remove electrical lines back to the source. o Permanently cap sanitary and potable water lines pipes with mortar and stainless-steel banded rubber end cap 3 feet beyond excavation; provide photographic evidence and ground flags. o Remove all basement fixtures, including furnaces, pipes, oil/gas tanks, and miscellaneous items. Provide documentation of oil/gas removal to the County. o Fill excavations with on-site or imported suitable fill. o Provide proper grading to ensure positive drainage. o Finished grading must align with adjacent property elevations.Antique Mall Demolition Project: 2956 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29210 o Fill depressions to prevent ponding; top 6 inches of grade should be free of large rocks and debris. o Uniformly place 4 inches of screened topsoil over disturbed areas. o Install seed over the entire area. o Provide suitable fill/topsoil for proper grading. o Provide traffic control as needed during demolition. o To ensure Public Safety, No interior site visits will be conducted. The building structure is deemed hazardous and entering is prohibited. Attached to this solicitation are Building exterior photos that will provide you with an understanding of the building's structure. o The award will go to the lowest responsive responsible bidder deemed most advantageous to the County
