Renovation of a municipal facility in Oakland, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Question Deadline 03/18/2025 at 5:00 PM PT The Project consists of: Contractor shall furnish all expertise, labor, materials, parts, equipment, and incidentals necessary to provide a modernization of one (1) hydraulic passenger elevator located at 8477 Enterprise Way, Oakland, California. Modernization includes, but is not limited to, a full modernization of the existing elevator, including installation of a new controller with soft starter, submersible power unit, shut-off valves in the machine room and pit, and a new seismic rupture valve. Replacement of car and hoistway door equipment, fixtures, and the steel cab shell; furnishing a new cab interior. Installation of a new in-ground cylinder. All necessary and related work to be performed by other trades for associated electrical, fire/life safety, and HVAC. Refer to Exhibit A for additional details. This is a "turn-key" project, and the Contractor is to be the prime contractor for any and all work by others to meet the specification, code, and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements. All building modifications required to complete this "turn-key" project including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety to meet code or AHJ requirements are the responsibility of the contractor. All engineering, equipment, labor, and permits required to satisfactorily complete elevator modernization required by Contract Documents. Contractors bid pricing must include building modifications that you have identified. Any item not included but required will be the full responsibility of the elevator contractor. A list of building modifications must be submitted to the County following contract award, but it is not the County's responsibility to review that list for accuracy and is merely being provided for facility coordination. The budgetary estimate for the scope of work is approximately $300,000. The time to complete this project is two hundred sixty (260) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
