The mowing/maintenance locations are listed and maps are provided as part of this bid package. Bidders are instructed to price each individual location and to also give a total price for each section in the space provided. Prices are to be written in figures (i.e. $125) in whole dollar amounts only. The frequency of cut is generally every 7 days, except for vacant lots which will be a 14-day cut frequency. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of cuts for any area. The total of the base bids (listed price per cut) for listed properties will be used as the main basis for the award. Bidders must also show the ability to perform the work outlined, by having the experience, personnel, and equipment necessary to do the work. An alternate hourly mowing rate is requested in the event the city has the need to mow properties on a non-recurring basis. In that event, the city will work with the contractor to determine the price to mow those areas based upon that rate. Alternate rates for other equipment owned by the bidder are also requested in this bid. Other equipment may be utilized if requested by the city. Other equipment may be used on any city property, not just listed properties.
