Renovation of a mixed-use development in Athens, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

All exterior work will start at the fire hydrant nearest the kitchen area and will need to begin at the existing 6" water line. Each company will need to visit the site and measure for new 6"fire service line and determine how to best enter the buildingto where the riserwill be housed. The system will include: New 6" water line 36" below finish grade Attached new utility specific fire hydrant (supplied by AUB but installed by winning bid) One, 6" ductile iron lead-in that terminates with a flushing connection 12" above the finished floor Provide gravel backfill for trench, replace topsoil, and smooth work area Provide all hydraulic calculations, shop drawings, dimensions, and submit them to owner for approval Install one wet-style fire sprinkler system, including all piping, hangers, fittings, and sprinklers. All materials are to be UL/FM approved and installed per NFPA13 and ofthe following characteristics: Wet style riserwith butterfly valve, checkvalve, main drain assembly, waterflow switch, and a stocked spare sprinkler cabinet, with schedule 40 black steel piping forthreaded joints, schedule 10 black steel piping for grooved joints, black steel/coated couplings and fittings and approved/listed hanger assemblies The sprinkler heads should be Ya" brass upright style sprinklers protecting areas of exposed construction and chrome pendant sprinklers protecting areas with the ceilings installed ^acoustic ceilings in classrooms) AU piping in the main school building will be installed above the acoustic ceilings.
