Scope of Work: Installation of new semi-deep well type cathodic protection rectifier system which consist of drilling and installing casing for well, installing anodes in well, installing rectifier equipment, installing fence with gate, installing conduit for electrical service, and connecting rectifier to existing gas main. Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed prior to the bid opening by the State of Alabama. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each bid. A performance bond, a payment bond, a maintenance bond, and insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90) days. Project Duration: 30 Days The right to reject any and all bids is reserved. IFB Number, Project Name, Contractor's name, and Alabama Contractor's License number must be printed on the outside of each sealed bid. Bidder instructions, including prebid meeting and contractor questionnaire details, are provided in the bid documents. As part of the bidding process, attendance at the Prebid meeting is considered mandatory. E-mail the Contract Administrator for a copy of the bid packet.
