Renovation of a day care center in Clinton, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a day care center.
The project consists of the renovation of the existing Clinton Armory building that most recently was occupied by Roan State Community College. The scope of work includes miscellaneous interior and exterior improvements to renovate this facility for use as a Day Care occupancy. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the "Contractor's Licensing Act of 1976," and as passed by the 89th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee. Furthermore, the Contractor should have the necessary licensing classifications as listed in Rules of Tennessee Board for Licensing General Contractors-Chapter 0680-1. The Bidder's name, license number, expiration date, and the part of the classic faction which applies to the Bidder must be placed on the sealed envelope containing the executed Proposal Form; otherwise, the Bid will not be considered. The envelope cover shall be plainly marked "Sealed Bid for CV14950-Clinton Armory DayCare Renovation & Improvements." Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or by a Bidder's Bond executed by the Bidder and a surety company licensed to do business in Tennessee, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount equal to 100% of the Contract price within seven (7) days of contract award notice. The City of Clinton reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the city.
