The City of Burlingame is seeking proposals from qualified Consultants to design and install Solar photovoltaic cells at existing City facilities (Project). Proposals shall be valid for 60 days from the proposal submittal date. The goal of this Project is to lower Citys energy dependance on non-renewable resources, and reduce energy consumption costs, thus align with City's commitment to sustainability and Citys Climate Action Plan. Solar PV Project includes engineering design, procurement of materials, permitting, construction, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic equipment for three of the following City's facilities (Project sites): 1. The designs should account for any future expansion of the solar charging capacity. Please note that these alternatives should not deviate from the allowable tolerance per the NEM2 and ECAA loan approvals. The details of the design should be submitted for City approval. In addition, the Consultant should apply for all the required permits including but not limited to City's permits and Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE) and/or PGE permits. PCE is the distributor of electricity to the City's electricity grid. The solar photovoltaic systems for these facilities must allow for energy generation and net metering where excess energy can be fed back into the grid, in accordance with California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regulations. Integration of EV charging shall comply with all the applicable standards per California Green Building Standards Code, California Building Standards Code, CEC, and other local jurisdictions requirements.
