NOTICE INVITING BIDS for the construction of the Ojai Valley Sanitary District's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Fine Screen Replacement Project located at the District's Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 6363 N. Ventura Avenue in Ventura, California. Bids received by OVSD after the time specified will be returned unopened pursuant to California Government Code Section 53068. The Work involves the removal and replacement of a rotary drum screen within an existing CMU and concrete grit and screen structure, including demolition and proper disposal, electrical system improvements, startup, testing, and site restoration while maintaining continuous wastewater treatment operations until the work is complete and fully operational. The District will provide the Huber Rotary Drum Fine Screen, Rotamat Ro2 1400/4, for installation in the Work. The Engineer's Estimate for this Work is $1,100,000. N-6. BID SECURITY Each Bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check or by a Bidder's bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders (the Bidders Security) as a guaranty that the Bidder shall, if awarded the Contract, (i) execute the Contract in accordance with the Bid as accepted by the District, (ii) furnish the required payment and performance bonds and bonding company documentation, (iii) provide satisfactory evidence that the Bidder's Project Manager, and all other designated employees meet the experience and certification requirements in this Notice Inviting Bids, and (iv) provide satisfactory evidence that all required insurance coverages have been secured. The Bidder's Security shall be in an amount that is at least ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the Bidder's Bid. N-7. PERFORMANCE BOND, PAYMENT BOND AND WARRANTY The Bidder that is awarded the Contract (the Successful Bidder) shall be required to obtain the insurance required by the Contract Documents and to furnish a faithful performance bond and a payment bond which shall each be at least one-hundred percent (100%) of the total amounts payable by the terms of the Contract. The faithful performance bond shall provide that it shall remain in full force and effect during the life of any guarantee or warranty required under the Contract. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive minor informalities or irregularities not affecting substantial rights, reject one part of a Bid and accept the other, and delay award of the Contract for a period of up to sixty (60) Calendar Days after the bid opening date.
