All bid questions shall be in writing, and will be accepted up to Friday, February 28 at 9 AM. This project includes, but is not limited, the following major work items: hot-mix asphalt surface pavement patching; and other associated improvements. The provisions of Article 104.02 of the Standard Specifications are hereby amended as follows: The Village of Buffalo Grove (Village) expressly reserves the right to remove from or add to the project any portions thereof included in the 2025 Pavement Patching Project. Such additions or reductions, if any, shall be made in writing by the Village prior to execution of the Contract Documents. Any addition or reduction in the scope of work required by the Village prior to the execution of the Contract Documents shall not result in an adjustment to the contract or to the price originally bid. This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: hot-mix asphalt surface pavement patching; and other associated improvements at various locations throughout the Village limits. State of Illinois, Department of Transportation, Contractor Pre-Qualification and Subcontractor Pre-Qualification/Registration is required. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashiers Check or Certified Check in the amount of FIVE (5) percent of the total bid amount made payable to the Village of Buffalo Grove shall accompany the bid. This work is subject to the wage provisions of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. 820 ILCS 130/0/01 et seq. and the Illinois Substance Abuse Prevention on Public Works Projects Act. 820 ILCS 265/1 et seq relative to prevailing wages of laborers, mechanics, and other workers employed in any Public Works as amended by Public Acts 86799 and 86693. The Village of Buffalo Grove reserves the right to reject any and all bids and bidders and to waive all technicalities. All bid proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days. The Village reserves the right to award to any bidder based on negotiation with any and all bidders after receipt of bids.
