This project consists of Transit Signal Priority (TSP) System along four corridors including the Fiber Optic Communications. The project corridors are: Lake Avenue between California Boulevard and Rio Grande Street California Boulevard between Arroyo Parkway and Lake Avenue Arroyo Parkway between California Boulevard and Glenarm Street Raymond Avenue between Glenarm Street and Walnut Street Foothill Boulevard between Altadena Drive and Halstead Street The project consists of installing the following: Transit Signal Priority (TSP) System - Ethernet switches with SFPs, IoT Gateway device, cell modem, various cables, din rail, and miscellaneous appurtenant work. Fiber Optic Communications - conduit, pull boxes, fiber optic equipment, fiber optic cables, CCTV cameras, video detection system, APS, Type 332 signal cabinets and foundations, and miscellaneous appurtenant work. The work includes the furnishing and installation of City standard sidewalks, and miscellaneous appurtenant work. Electronic Bid bond is required. Bidders must provide all required information for the City to verify the bond with their bid. The bond must meet the following requirements and characteristics: Bid security in the amount of five-percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a redeemable or callable electronic surety bond, meeting City requirements, must accompany all bids. The Material and Labor Bond and the Faithful Performance Bond shall be for one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount consisting of the base bid stated in the Bidder's Proposal. In accordance with Section 6-9 of the Standard Specifications, for each consecutive calendar day required to complete the work in excess of the time specified herein for its completion, as adjusted in accordance with Section 6-6 of the Standard Specifications, the Contractor shall pay to the City, or have withheld from monies due it, the sum of $3,600 per calendar day. Time is of the essence in the performance of the work. The CONTRACTOR shall begin work within fifteen (15) calendar days after date of the Notice to Proceed and shall diligently prosecute the work to completion in every detail, within 80 working days Working Days after the date in the Notice to Proceed with Work, exclusive of maintenance periods if any.
