Renovation of a hospitality development in Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a hospitality development.
The work includes the modernization of the elevator systems and their integration with the building’s infrastructure. The project involves the complete modernization of two elevators in a building that have exceeded their service life. The goal is to seamlessly integrate the upgraded elevator systems with the existing building infrastructure, including but not limited to the electrical, mechanical, fire safety, structural, CCTV and security access systems. The elevators are located in the Luugat building, formerly known as the Howard Johnson Hotel, which was constructed in 1911 and features six floors, a basement, and a hotel-style layout. It contains 115 units and serves as supportive housing for individuals vulnerable to homelessness.
