The purpose of these specifications is to relate Racine County's requirements for purchasing asphaltic material as described. Racine County has an extensive paving schedule planned for 2025. REQUIREMENTS Trucking: Asphaltic material will be picked up at the plant and hauled by County trucks. Asphaltic Material: Asphaltic material will be used in the repair or resurfacing of highways in Racine County in 2025. Upon request, the supplier must furnish a copy of a mix design report for the mix to be purchased. Quantities/Price: The County makes no guarantees of any specific minimum purchase. The price quoted shall be fixed for the 2025 calendar year regardless of the amount of material purchased. If a fixed price is not available through December 31, 2025 note as such on the Quote Form. The County of Racine, through its duly authorized agents, reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, to waive all technicalities, and to accept the quotation deemed most advantageous to Racine County. All bidders, by submission of their respective quotations, agree to abide by the rules, regulations, and procedures of Racine County. It shall be the successful contractor's responsibility that all work and materials conform to all applicable provisions Section 450 of the 2025 State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction and these following Specifications. The County makes no guarantees of any specific minimum purchase. Racine County shall not be liable for any costs incurred in replying to any request for proposal or invitation to bid.
