The project budget is $75,000. The Scope of Work Includes Masonry Repairs, Reinforcement of Steel Cross Braces, and Added Ventilation Measures. Bids are invited for the following work: This contract is for restoration work at the City of Sun Prairie, Historic Columbus Street Water Tower located at the junction of Church Street and Cliff Street in Sun Prairie Wisconsin. This building is a locally designated landmark and is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the State Register of Historic Places. The Sun Prairie Water Tower is 60' high, rising from a two-foot rusticated stone foundation. The tower it topped with a steel tank which adds 30' bringing it to an overall height of 92'. Its outside diameter is 25'. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount payable to the City of Sun Prairie as a guarantee that if their bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file a Contract within ten (10) days after such acceptance. The accepted bidder will execute and file the Agreement and the Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount equal to 100% of the bid amount within ten (10) days of Notice of Award. All applicable charter and statutory provisions are incorporated into said Contract. The successful bidder shall be required to conform to all Federal and State OSHA requirements, as well as to the extent necessary, to comply with Davis-Bacon and/or Wisconsin Prevailing Wage Laws. The City of Sun Prairie reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding process. Bids may be held by the City of Sun Prairie for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
