The post-chlorination valve assembly that serves the entirety of the Wanakena Campus/Ranger School shall be replaced with a new stainless steel assembly due to corrosion build-up on the existing assembly. This project includes two alternates: 1) the installation of shut-off valves on the lines leaving the Post-Chlorination Building and 2) the installation of a new fume exhaust system to mitigate future corrosion. This project will have a two week window of execution due to the ongoing operation of the campus throughout the year. All general, electrical, control, HVAC, plumbing, and associated mechanical modifications as required for a complete system are within the scope of the project. This project is listed as 150 days for completion, but has a hard date window for completion of June 30th 2025 through July 11 2025 due to campus scheduling. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 15% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Contract term: 150 calendar days Each Proposal must be accompanied by the required amount of the bid security, which is 5% of the Total Bid, in the form of a bank draft or certified check, payable at sight to the University and drawn on a bank authorized to do business in the United States, or by a Bid Bond, on a form approved by the University, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company or companies, approved by the University, authorized to do business in the State of New York as a surety. Attorneys-in-fact who execute a Bid Bond on behalf of a surety must affix thereto a certified and effectively dated copy of their power of attorney. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, both of which bonds shall be on the form prescribed by the University and in an amount not less than 100 percent of the total amount of the Contract awarded to the Contractor by the University said bonds must be issued by a surety company approved by the University and authorized to do business in the State of New York as a surety. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. To ensure that SDVOB Enterprises are afforded the opportunity for meaningful participation in the performance of the Universitys contracts, and to assist in achieving the SDVOB Acts statewide goal for participation on state contracts the University hereby establishes an overall goal of 6% for SDVOB participation for this solicitation.
