Contractors to provide all necessary service and materials for the construction of two (2) new pickleball courts totaling sixty feet in length by sixty-four feet in width (60' x 64') at Walker Rocks Park on the Walker County Civic Center Campus, 10052 Hwy 27, Rock Spring, Georgia WCG plans to construct two (2) new pickleball courts totaling 60' x 64' for the enjoyment of residents. Only inquiries received in writing will receive a response. All such written inquiries must be submitted by March 12, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. EDT SCOPE OF SERVICES a. OBJECTIVE: To construct two (2) new pickleball courts measuring sixty by sixty-four feet (60' x 64') total b. EXAMINATION OF SITE SPECIFICATIONS: Before submitting a proposal, each company shall: i. Examine the specifications and scope of work thoroughly ii. Familiarize themselves with all local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations affecting the performance of the work. c. SPECIFICATIONS: Construct two (2) new pickleball courts totaling sixty by sixty-four feet (60' x 64'). The construction of the courts shall include, but is not limited to: i. Haul and place 4" of crusher run with laser grader. ii. Roll crusher run when moist until compacted. Test to verify proper compaction. iii. Apply 2" of fine topping asphalt. iv. Install 4' high black vinyl coated fence with 9-gauge wire, 3" terminal posts, 2 1/2 " line posts, gates (wide enough for wheelchair access) and hardware as necessary around perimeter of the courts. v. Install 4 net foundations. vi. Flood courts with water to check for planarity and to identify low areas (birdbaths) and correct as needed according to USA Pickleball specifications. vii. Apply 2 coats of black and 2 coats of ACRYTECH colored full acrylic playing surface (color selected by owner). viii. Stripe two pickle ball courts with one coat of primer and two coats of texturized white line paint. ix. Install new net posts, new pickleball nets and center straps. d. TIMELINE: The project must be completed no later than September 30, 2025, unless the parties agree to an extension of time. ADDITIONAL ITEMS TO INCLUDE IN PRICING AS OPTIONS: a. OPTION 1: i. Build four (4) new pickleball courts (120' x 64') with the same specifications and amenities as above. Under this option, the surface would be configured for four courts INSTEAD of two courts. ii. Lighting for (4) new pickleball courts (see option #2) b. OPTION 2: i. Install a 2-pole/4-fixture 560-watt SCIMITAR or comparable LED lighting system. c. OPTION 3: i. Install a 4-pole/8-fixture 560-watt SCIMITAR or comparable LED lighting system
