INTRODUCTION: Walker County Government (hereinafter referred to as "WCG") is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide all necessary service and materials for the resurfacing and extension of the Walker Rocks Park Trail on the Walker County Civic Center Campus, 10052 Hwy 27, Rock Spring, Georgia. PROJECT INFORMATION AND PROJECT SCOPE: The project consists of surfacing approximately 3,215 feet of crushed/compacted stone with a compacted surface material, such as asphalt or bonded rubber, along with the optional installation of approximately 475 feet section of new trail. (see attached map) 1. Asphalt or bonded rubber surface to be installed on existing 3,215 LF gravel trail shall be 2" thick and 8' wide. 2. New 475 linear foot trail section option shall include a 4" compacted aggregate sub-base, 2" thick and 4' wide asphalt or bonded rubber surface Note: pricing should not include the following: . Permitting and inspection fees (permits and inspections will be required, but the fees will be waived by the county) . Sub-base preparation on existing 3,215 LF gravel trail to be handled by the county . Location of existing utilities . Landscaping Walker County Government reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive formalities, technicalities or irregularities and to re-advertise if necessary.
