Question Deadline 02/24/2025 at 3:00 PM PT The Department of Rehabilitation's (DOR) Business Enterprise Program (BEP) equipment is located in State, Federal, County office buildings, privately owned buildings cafeterias, snack bars, convenience stores and vending machine facilities. The contractor shall provide Commercial Refrigeration, Service and Repair, including replacement parts. All equipment is to be serviced ansd or repaired at the facility location unless it is absolutely necessary to remove the equipment for servicing at the contractor's shop. Business Enterprises Program for the Blind (BEP) sites include cafeterias, snack bars, and vending facilities. Refrigeration repair services will be performed on food service equipment to include, but not limited to refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, salad bars, frozen yogurt machines and wall mounted air conditioning units. Equipment is not to be removed from the location iwthout the written approval of a Business Enterpirse Consultant (BEC) or a Field Office Manager; no exceptions. Only when approval has been received in writing granting authorization to remove equipment, shall the contractor complete the "Equipment sign out control log:" DR287. If refrigerant is removed from the job site, it must meet the criteria of the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) Standard 700-93. The Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Business Enterprises Program (BEP) provides training, licensure, and self-employment opportunities for persons who are legally blind in the management of food service and vending facilities on public (state, federal, and county) and private properties throughout the State pursuant to the Randolph-Sheppard Act (20 U.S.C. 107 et seq.) and California Welfare and Institutions Code Section 19625 et seq. The BEP owns and provides food service and vending facility equipment to licensed BEP vendors for the operation of the food service and vending facilities and provides repair services for said equipment. Proof of current insurance certificates for Commercial General Liability with limits of liability of $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 aggregate for bodily injury and property damage liability, Automobile Liability (Required if contractor has commercially owned vehicles that will be used to provide services during the life of this Agreement), and Workers' Compensation with liability limits of $1,000,000, if applicable. Certificate of insurance listing Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability (if applicable) and Workers Compensation and limits of liability' is required at bid opening.
