The Wagonwheel Elementary School Playground Improvements project Alternate 1 scope involves the playground north of the school facility, with the removal of 5665 SY of AC and PCC surfacing; replacement PCC surfacing of 5386 SY of heavy duty PCC paving; removal of 81 SF of PCC sidewalk and 63 SF PCC valley gutter; installation of 81 SF of PCC sidewalk; installation of 2754 SF of PCC valley gutter; associated base course and subgrade preparation; earthwork grading above subgrade, as well as values for remediation below subgrade to be field verified. Scope includes remove and replace storm drain and inlets, new storm drain and inlets; minor remove and replace chain link fencing, gates and components; multiple instances of existing PCC landscape wall adjustments; remove, strip finish, prepare, repaint, and reinstall playground equipment; remove landscaping and replace vegetation landscaping and sod. Scope includes existing parking lot and proposed playground pavement striping on the proposed playground, the existing parking lots to the south and east of the school facility, the west parking lot across Hemlock Avenue, and limited Hemlock Avenue striping to support student drop-off and crosswalks. Project Alternate 2 scope is largely identical with regard to improvements except work identifies the replacement surfacing of 5386 SY of heavy duty AC paving; associated base course and subgrade preparation; and minor differences in earthwork due to differing section depths. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to Campbell County School District for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Base Bid, (a certified check may be used in lieu of a Bid Bond) pledging that the Bidder will enter into a contract with Campbell Count School District on the terms stated in his Bid. The successful Bidder shall provide a 100% percent of the contract Performance and Payment Bond or a Letter of Credit or any other security as approved by Campbell County School District as stated in the Instructions to the Bidder. The Campbell County School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding.
