All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and must employ a state Utility Manager certificate holder who will have oversight of all the work. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of: Part A Armadale Service Area Rehabilitation of approximately 3,380 linear feet of 8 - 12 inch sewer lines by pipe bursting and 5 manholes, clean and preliminary video surveying of approximately 4,172 linear feet of existing sewer lines, 31 point repairs, reconnection of 94 service connections. Time allotted for this work is 180 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 240 days for final completion. Part B â Coldstream, Pine Forest and Rideshare Service Area Rehabilitation of approximately 8,240 linear feet of 6 - 18 inch sewer lines by pipe bursting and 17 manholes, clean and preliminary video surveying of approximately 4,043 linear feet of existing sewer lines, 15 point repairs, reconnection of 49 service connections. Time allotted for this work is 180 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 240 days for final completion. Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on. The project is proposed to be funded with local funds. All requirements and conditions apply. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Port Wentworth, Georgia, in the amount of at least 5% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Port Wentworth, Georgia. Each bond shall be equal to 5% of the contract agreement. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Port Wentworth, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
