Scattered Sites Radon Testing The Peoria Housing Authority (PHA) is seeking qualified contractors to evaluate and reduce residential hazards within our public housing property, Scattered SitesIL003000003. The proposed housing-related hazard project, Radon Testing, is needed at our Scattered Sites. To be proactive, PHA plans to ensure testing is done for all residential dwellings and required mitigation is completed. The Contractor shall provide Radon testing across 119 buildings (estimated 143 tests). For PHA, testing shall comply with Federal, State and Local environmental standards. The Contractor will be responsible to distribute, collect and send out for analysis all samples. Work Includes but is not limited to the following: Radon testing will be completed for all units. Once testing is complete, necessary units will be mitigated. This will involve mitigation for units that have elevated results. Major work will include installation of a sub-slab radon mitigation system, ventilation piping, one radon fan, monitors, and alarm. . The PHA reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality in the RFP process, or to terminate the RFP process at any time, if deemed by the PHA to be in its best interests. The PHA reserves the right not to award a contract pursuant to this RFP. The PHA reserves the right to terminate a contract awarded pursuant to this RFP, at any time for its convenience upon 30 days' written notice to the successful proposer. The PHA reserves the right to determine the days, hours, and locations that the successful proposer shall provide the services called for in this RFP. The PHA reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and not permit withdrawal for a period of 90 days after the deadline for receiving proposals without the written consent of the PHA Contracting Officer (CO). The PHA reserves the right to negotiate the fees proposed by the proposer entity. The PHA reserves the right to reject a proposer's fee proposal and consider other bidders if the PHA is unable to successfully negotiate fees. The PHA reserves the right to reject and not consider any submission that does not meet the requirements of this RFP, including but not necessarily limited to incomplete submissions and/or submissions offering alternate or non-requested services.
