**As of April 25, 2025 This project has been awarded to RC Foster, with the awarded amount of $199,806,08.** Work will be conducted on one vessel at a time. Once the first vessel is completed and placed into service, RCSD staff will demolish the second vessel within two weeks to allow work to commence on the second unit. The selected Contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform the following tasks unless expressly identified otherwise: Iron and Manganese Vessel Rehabilitation a) Preparation work including protection of all existing facilities, ports, outlets, electrical components, gauges, etc. b) Full containment, protection of underdrains, and environmental c) Abrasive near-white metal blast clean the interior surfaces in accordance with SSPC-SP 10 standard (NACENo. 2). d) Spray application of NSF 61 certified protective interior coating, consisting of 2-3 coats with minimum total dry film thickness (DFT) of 40 mil, Sherplate 600, or approved equal. e) Holiday detection and inspection in accordance with SSPC-PA 2. f) Install District furnished 304 stainless steel influent and effluent headers with shower nozzles in accordance with Filtronics Drawing No. CP7771, Sheet 9. g) Install District furnished 304 stainless steel laterals on the effluent header. h) Placement of Class A concrete floor approximately 3 cu. yards (1.5 cu. yards per vessel) within the vessel area (as necessary to create a flush finish surface over the stainless steel header). i) The rehabilitated vessels shall be disinfected and tested in accordance with AWWA C651 (latest) to the satisfaction of the District prior to placing media in vessels. Contractor shall be responsible for fees associated with bacteriological sampling and testing. j) Install District furnished Filtronics proprietary filter media for iron and manganese removal.
