Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Riverside, California. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

This project proposes to construct a new Advanced Technology (Applied Technology) Building at Riverside City College (RCC). The proposed Advanced Technology building will encompass 134,000 Gross Square Feet (GSF) and consists of 93,570 Assignable Square Feet (ASF). Functional space within the building will include 4,800 ASF of classroom, 73,010 ASF of laboratory, 4,340 ASF of office, and 11,420 ASF of other support space. The programs proposed to be housed in the new building are Auto Technology, Welding, and HVAC. The new facility will include modern technology and infrastructure compatible with specialized equipment needs for the career technical education (CTE) programs that the building houses. The building will accommodate the College's enrollment by increasing instructional capacity for dedicated instructional space, faculty office space, and all other types of space. Colocating these important CTE programs into a new facility will improve access, enhance learning environments, and support collaboration. The proposed Advanced Technology Building is to be located at the center of campus adjacent to the Planetarium and Parking Lot F. The new building site location will enhance the development of a CTE core on campus. The existing Dispatch/Security Building (#9), Ground Equipment Storage (#33), Grounds Diesel Equipment Storage (#235), Ground Storage Garage (#221), Cesar Chavez Building (#10), Old Financial Services/Data Processing (#11), Elevator Tower (#204), Technology Building B (#7), and TSS Portable (233) will be demolished to provide a building site location. The Automotive Technology (#30), Auto. Tech. Storage (#220), and Technology A (#6) buildings will be inactivated and demolished after occupancy of the new building. As of February 26, 2025, this project is included in the state's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
