The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from VDOT approved aggregate plants or quarries to provide various types of aggregate as listed on the solicitation bid pricing schedule. The aggregate will be picked up by VDOT operated or hired trucks from the Contractor's quarry or plant. Aggregate shall be loaded by the Contractor. The initial contract period will be one (1) year from the time of award with an option for two (2) successive one (1) year renewal terms. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Steven2.Ferguson@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office will determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on 2/26/2025. An optional pre-bid conference will not be held for this solicitation; however, potential Bidders are encouraged to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. The Commonwealth also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the procuring public body to be in its best interest.
