The project includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter, cross gutters, driveway approaches, ADA curb ramps, and all appurtenant work at multiple locations within the City of Lawndale. The duration of the project is 25 working days. The bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or bidder's bond, issued by an "admitted surety insurer" made payable to the City of Lawndale for an amount no less than 10 percent of the total base bid amount. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Each bond shall be in the forms set forth herein and shall be secured from a surety company that meets all State of California bonding requirements, as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and that is a California admitted surety insurer. All bidders shall be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a State Contractor's License, Class A, at the time of bid submittal. The successful Contractor and each of his subcontractors will be required to possess a Business License from the City.
