Site work for a water / sewer project in Dekalb, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This work shall consist of the furnishing and installation of a detector loop in pavement and follow Articles 801, for testing, 886, and 1079 in the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. A minimum of seven (7) working days prior to the Contractor cutting loops, the Contractor shall mark the proposed loop locations and contact the Area Traffic Signal Maintenance and Operations Engineer to inspect and approve the layout. The detector loop shall be replaced in the same location, at the same shape and size, and consisting of the same number of turns as stated on the existing plan set. The detector loop shall be installed in the binder course according to the details shown on the plans and the following requirements.
